WELCOME
Our Mission. The UDC has not changed much since the day it first began; with core objectives still maintaining historical preservation, benevolence, education, memorialism, and patriotism. The UDC answers the call of duty, not only to honor American Veterans, but to serve our current service men and women who put their lives on the line for our freedom everyday.

Chapter Origins

  Seattle - UDC Centennial Ball.
The Seattle United Daughters of the Confederacy, Robert E. Lee Chapter #885 was chartered March 21, 1905. At that time, many members were real daughters and wives of Confederate Veterans. The Robert E. Lee Chapter of Seattle celebrated their Centennial Anniversary with a ball held in the Wilsonian Ball Room on University Avenue on March 12, 2005.
Our Book, "A Chapter in Pacific Northwest History."
This documents the hundred year history of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Robert E. Lee Chapter #885 in Seattle, and its numerous contributions to the State of Washington. Written by M. A. Reeves, this book is an excellent resource for genealogists and historians alike.
